Nutraceuticals, which include dietary supplements, functional foods, and medical foods, are valued at USD 400 billion globally in 2024. Market projections suggest the industry could cross USD 650 billion by 2030, fuelled by rising consumer awareness, lifestyle-related diseases, and innovations in biotechnology. India, too, has witnessed sharp growth. The domestic nutraceutical market has tripled in five years, from USD 3.2 billion in 2017 to about USD 8 billion in 2022, with forecasts indicating it could reach USD 18 billion by 2025.
